OS Sitemap
OS Sitemap is the latest and most up to date large-scale mapping currently available from Ordnance Survey. OS Sitemap has been derived from Ordnance Survey's flagship large-scale dataset OS Mastermap and replaces old Landline products such as Siteplan and Superplan.
OS Sitemap is available as A4 or A3 paper or TIFF data maps, larger than A3 customised paper sheets, and site-centred CAD compatible dxf vector data.
Customers used to Landline products such as Siteplan and Superplan will be pleased to hear that 1:1250 & 1:2500 map products are still available through OS Sitemap but, in addition to these, the following new products, services and features have been added:
New Products
- Paper plots now also available in full colour.
- TIFF raster data now available for A3 areas.
- Themed source data allowing colours to be switched on or off.
- Paper plots over a certain size available with a section of 1:50k overview mapping.
New Services
- 1:1250 & 1:2500 DXF data can now be supplied as a polygon (as well as a square or rectangle) thus further reducing areas of redundant data.
- Additional functionality has been added to the Desktop Mapping (DTM) service including a street search facility, on-screen pricing and a cookie-cutting tool.
New OS Licensing
In addition to the above improvements Ordnance Survey have introduced a new project based license called Plan Design Build (PDB) for customers requiring DXF data. The existing IBU license is still on offer but has a number of important restrictions (see OS Licensing page).
